Dr. Michael Staab grew up in Littleton and attended local elementary and secondary schools. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a Dean’s Scholar. His medical training began at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, where he was an Honors Graduate and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Staab obtained his Internal Medicine Residency training at Duke University Medical Center, and his Cardiology Fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic. He joined South Denver Cardiology in 1998 and rapidly established himself as an expert in nuclear and cardiac ultrasound testing. He is among a select few in Colorado who has passed certification examinations in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Staab currently serves as the Cardiology Medical Director at Littleton Adventist Hospital.
Dr. Staab is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He has authored over ten scientific articles and has multiple “Grand Round Presentations” at the Mayo Clinic. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of six other professional organizations.
Dr. Staab is a devoted husband and father of two children. The family enjoys Colorado’s many outdoor activities.
