NM STRESS TEST INSTRUCTIONS

β€’ Duration of the test is 2.5 hours.
β€’ Take all of your medications unless told otherwise.
β€’ Wear comfortable clothes and shoes-may wear bra. Test MAY include walking on treadmill at slow preset speed for 4 minutes.
β€’ No caffeine 12 hours prior (Decaf is fine).
β€’ No food 3 hours prior unless diabetic then, small meal is fine.
β€’ No oils, creams or lotions on chest day of test.
β€’ Pregnancy test must be completed prior to exam for all pre-menopausal females.
β€’ May have juice and water at all times.

US AAA INSTRUCTIONS

One day prior to exam – No coffee, tea, dairy products, carbonated water, soda or beer. Also, do not drink from a squirt bottle or straws.

Do not eat or drink 12 hours before exam.

Test should be conducted before 10:00 am.

If scheduling with a nuclear test, please do ultrasound first.

US CAROTID BILATERAL INSTRUCTIONS

ECHOCARDIOGRAM INSTRUCTIONS

EVENT MONITORING INSTRUCTIONS

METABOLIC TREADMILL STRESS TEST INSTRUCTIONS

β€’ Duration of test is 60 minutes.
β€’ Take all of your medications unless told otherwise.
β€’ Wear comfortable shoes (will be walking on treadmill) and clothes-may wear bra
β€’ Must wear a neoprene tight-fitting sealed face mask during study, unable to perform study with beards
β€’ No food 3 hours prior unless diabetic then, small meal is fine
β€’ May have juice and water at all times
β€’ No smoking 4 hours prior.
β€’ Bring insurance information and a list of their medications with times and dosages.

NUCLEAR TREADMILL STRESS TEST INSTRUCTIONS

β€’ Leading up to your appointment, if you have a current pending COVID test, positive member of your household, or are in Quarantine, please reschedule your non-urgent appointment.
β€’ Please check-in 30 minutes prior to exam.
β€’ Duration of the test is 2.5 hours.
β€’ Take all of your medications unless told otherwise.
β€’ Wear comfortable clothes and shoes-may wear bra. Test MAY include walking on treadmill at slow preset speed for 4 minutes.
β€’ No caffeine 12 hours prior (Decaf is fine).
β€’ No food 3 hours prior unless diabetic then, small meal is fine.
β€’ No oils, creams or lotions on chest day of test.
β€’ Pregnancy test must be completed prior to exam for all pre-menopausal females.
β€’ May have juice and water at all times.
β€’ No smoking 4 hours prior.
β€’ Insurance – Requires pre-certified/Authorized by insurance. Please bring insurance information and a list of their medications with times and dosages.

STRESS TEST INSTRUCTIONS

β€’ Study can be performed if patient has had caffeine.
β€’ No food 3 hours prior unless diabetic, then small meal is fine.
β€’ No oils, creams or lotions on chest, day of test.
β€’ May have juice and water at all times.
β€’ No smoking 4 hours prior.
β€’ Weight – not to exceed 500 lbs. – If over 500 lbs. will need to be done at the hospital

SLEEP STUDY INSTRUCTIONS

β€’ Monitor will be worn overnight and must be returned to SDHC the next business day.
β€’ Results will be received approximately 3 weeks after return of device

ECHO STRESS INSTRUCTIONS
