Dr. Juan Eduardo Weksler began his journey in medicine with a BA from the University of Texas at Austin, followed by an MD from Texas A&M University College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Indiana University. Dr. Weksler further specialized with a Fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia and a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Dr. Weksler’s leadership roles have included being the Director of Cardiovascular Services and Cardiac Rehabilitation at Avista Hospital, leading the Chest Pain Accreditation program and serving as a member of both the Hospital Credentials Committee and the Centura-wide Cardiac and Vascular Governing Council. Dr. Weksler spent several years establishing angioplasty programs in regional health centers.
Dr. Weksler is board-certified in Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease and is a Fellow of both the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI) and the American College of Cardiology (FACC).
Throughout his career, Dr. Weksler has received numerous accolades, including being named a “Regional Top Doc” by Castle Connolly and US News and World Report. He was also recognized for his excellence in Internal Medicine by Texas A&M University College of Medicine and awarded a research fellowship by Scios Inc.
Dr. Weksler can often be found enjoying the hiking, skiing, motorcycling, and camping Colorado has to offer with his wife and three children.
