Financial Controller

Chris brings over 35 years of extensive leadership and financial expertise within the healthcare industry. Before joining South Denver Cardiology Associates, he served as CEO and co-Owner of Spruce Medical Group/Restore Osteo of Colorado. His prior executive roles include Vice President of Finance at Medicomp Inc. and Chief Financial Officer for Summit Community Care Clinic—a federally qualified health center. Earlier in his career, Chris was CFO at Mountain View Medical Group, a physician-owned private practice, where he contributed significantly over many years.

Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Mathematics from Plymouth State University. He earned a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Western Governors University and an Executive MBA from the University of Denver. He completed his PhD in Health Policy Management at Harvard University’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Furthering his professional development, he attained a Human Resources Certification from Bentley University and an Advanced Master Certification as a Six Sigma Lean Black Belt with a healthcare designation from Villanova University.

Chris is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) through the Healthcare Financial Management Association and holds a Managed Healthcare Professional designation from the Health Insurance Association of America. His career accolades include the Super Max Award for New Business Development, the Presidential Award for Exemplary Service, and Employee of the Year for Medicare Implementation. He also served on the Community Health Partners Advisory Committee in Colorado Springs and received community service recognition for two consecutive years in recognition of his leadership and dedication.

Chris has been instrumental at South Denver Cardiology in driving strategic planning, process improvements, financial analysis, forecasting, and budget administration. Chris also specializes in revenue cycle management and project controllership.
