South Denver Cardiologist First to offer Leadless Pacemaker
Sri Sundaram, M.D. is one of South Denver Cardiology’s four cardiac electrophysiologists and is the first in the region to implant the state of the art leadless pacemaker called Nanostim. Colorado Public Radio did an interview with Dr. Sundaram and he explains in detail what this new technology has to offer and the increasable benefits it has.
Dr. Sundaram is “quadruple-board certified,” in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Sundaram was also recognized with the Heart Rhythm Society’s 2005 Clinical Young Investigator of the Year, a national honor presented to only one Electrophysiologist per year. Dr. Sundaram was among the elite to be awarded by 5280 magazine a “Top Doc” in Colorado for 2012, 2013.

Some doctors say a new pacemaker about the size of a triple-A battery could be revolutionary. About 20 million Americans have pacemakers, which help people with slow heartbeats.
Dr. Sri Sundaram, Director of CardiacElectrophysiology for Centura Health, is the only doctor in Colorado testing the new device, called Nanostim, as part of an international pilot program.
