South Denver Cardiology Associates, headquartered in Littleton, Colorado is seeking a full-time board certified (or eligible) interventional (non-structural) cardiologist to join the largest private cardiology practice in Colorado.
South Denver Cardiology is a well-established, full-service practice with 31 cardiologists and 21 nurse practitioners who have served the South Denver Metropolitan Area for 50 years. This practice supports 5 growing hospitals with a patient panel size of 46,000 and will offer immediate access to both procedures and patients. The position includes shared interventional-only call, split equally with 5 other interventional cardiologists, averaging one weeknight call every week and 1 weekend of call/hospital rounding responsibilities every 3-4 weeks.

Educate and counsel patients using sound nutrition practices for people with chronic health conditions, including complex cardiometabolic conditions. Use current nutrition research and solid counseling skills to promote health, prevent or treat illness in both individual and group settings. Job Summary:
The Arrhythmia Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for managing the Electrophysiology (EP) patients care by promoting and restoring patients’ health through the nursing process; collaborating with EP physicians and Nurse Practitioners as well as multidisciplinary team members; and providing education and support to these patients.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Respects patient confidentiality and privacy by maintaining the security of all patient
communications, per current HIPAA regulations.
• Identifies patient service requirement by establishing rapport with potential and actual
patients.
• Responsible for triaging patient, by phone or in person. The nurse appropriately incorporates
the use of established protocols, available information, the nursing process, critical thinking,
prioritizing, and delegation to resolve patient issues.
• Ensures correct prescription by communication with the physician and the pharmacies regarding
new prescriptions, medication changes or refills.
• Will educate patients on their medical conditions, symptoms that may indicate a worsening
problem, and the possible effects or adverse reactions that may occur with medications.
• Review of diagnostic test results with physicians. Differentiates normal results from abnormal
results and obtain recommendations from the physicians. Informs patients of results and
recommendations.
• Routinely see patients in the clinic for arrhythmia management both with the assistance of the
Nurse Practitioner as well as independently
• Patient appointments may include Preops, Post ops, or clinical management.
• When seeing Pts in the Arrhythmia Clinic with the NP, the nurse will lead the appointment, use
clinical judgement to present Pt to the NP, give recommendations for next steps, document all areas
of care with attention to detail.
• Read and interpret ECGs
• Educating and monitoring patients on anti-arrhythmic medications, including routine patient
assessments and follow-ups.
• Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, explaining procedures, and answering
questions.
• Is an active member of code blue team. Responsibilities include BLS/ACLS protocols.
• Acts as a resource for the medical assistants and non-clinical staff.
