South Denver Cardiology Associates is excited and proud to be an official Walk with a Doc site!

Walk with a Doc is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage healthy physical activity in people of all ages and reverse the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle to improve the country’s health and well-being. This program has had tremendous participation and success in hundreds of cities around the country as it has shown much-improved health results for countless people. Special health instructions are below.

  1. Please do not come to a walk if you are sick, recently recovered from being sick, have active symptoms (loss of smell or taste, cough, fever, etc.), or were exposed directly to a person with COVID-19 or the Flu.
  2. Face coverings are at your discretion. 
  3. Please RSVP on the dates below.

 

Walk With Us

Exercise is Medicine! Check out this video from Dr. Daniel Alyesh as he tells you about the SDCA Walk with a Doc program. The walk is open to the community. Participation is free, and pre-registration is not required. Walkers will enjoy a refreshing and rejuvenating 2-mile walk with the cardiologists of South Denver Cardiology and other healthcare professionals. Join us!

Why walk?

There’s no question that increasing exercise, even moderately, reduces the risks of many diseases, including coronary heart disease, breast, and colon cancer, and Type 2 diabetes. Research has also shown that you could gain two hours of life for each hour that you exercise regularly. For those concerned about colon cancer symptoms what are they and how can they be identified early to improve outcomes?
