I grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana.  I moved to Colorado to study integrative physiology and biology at the University of Colorado in Boulder.  During college, I worked as a CNA on the orthopedics floor of the hospital.  Soon after graduating, I earned a second bachelor degree, with high honors, from Metropolitan State College of Denver’s accelerated nursing program.  I gained nursing experience in critical care, spinal cord rehabilitation, and outpatient cardiology while working on my Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.   I am a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honors Society.  I was also nominated for the Daisy Award.  Shortly after attaining ANCC board certification as an adult nurse practitioner, I joined the SDCA team in 2012.  I really enjoy my coworkers and take pride in being part of such a great practice.

I spend my spare time with my friends and family.  I love traveling.  In fact, I’ve had a long-standing tradition of visiting at least one new country annually.  I engage in an active lifestyle, which consists of running, biking, hiking, and skiing.  I also like playing games, going to concerts, reading, and enjoy delicious food – especially when others cook it.
