Iām originally from Minnesota but have briefly lived in Nebraska and Kentucky before landing in Denver. I started my nursing career at Porter Adventist Hospital on telemetry and quickly transferred to the Intensive Care Unit, where I spent a lot of time recovering post-open-heart surgery patients. After graduating with my Clinical Nurse Specialist masterās degree, I took a job as a cardiology APP at Parker Adventist Hospital which provided good experience performing stress tests and consulting on heart failure and acute MI patients. As a chest pain coordinator, I also helped the hospital achieve 2 Chest Pain Accreditations through the American College of Cardiology. In 2019, I completed my post-graduate Nurse Practitioner degree and spent some time in hematology/oncology, which helped me realize my passion for cardiology. Now ready to be back in Cardiology full-time.
Since having two daughters,Ā multiple family members have moved to Denver to be closer to us. So I tend to spend a lot of my time off with family. Iāve been a vegetarian my whole life and am very passionate about plant-based food.
