Who Should Attend:

Anyone interested in learning the basics of a "healthy" kitchen and heart-healthy nutritional information.

  • Nutrition Lecture will be from 11:00-11:45 a.m.
  • Cooking Demonstration will be from 12:00-12:30 p.m.

Nutrition Lecture and Cooking Class Demonstration—Dr. Richard Collins, “The Cooking Cardiologist®,” along with Susan Buckley, RD will share their expertise on nutrition and cooking solutions. September 13th, Pantry Basics: How to turn your pantry into a powerhouse of whole foods. Whole foods are foods that are unprocessed and unrefined, or processed and refined as little as possible before being consumed. Whole foods typically do not contain added ingredients, such as sugar, salt or fat. Learn about which foods to always keep stocked in your pantry for optimal health and wellness. September 20th, End Emotional Eating and Start Eating Mindfully! Learn how triggers affect our eating choices and what lifestyle changes can teach you to change habits for the good. September 27th, Eating Gluten-Free - Food Sensitivity: Is your food making you sick? Find out more information about being "gluten" sensitive, lactose intolerant, and the cancer connection. Series includes: 45 minute Lecture from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m., 30 minute Cooking Demo from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. Cost: FREE
